Now that the election is over, we can go back to being annoyed by the usual stuff on Facebook -- Farmville updates, the unceasing stream of invites to comedian friends' weekly shows, pictures that promise "likes" will somehow generate something for somebody somewhere ... and everybody's pets.

Veteran's Day is one of the greatest American holiday, because we get to celebrate those who have and are still serving our country. It's one of the greatest sacrifices; these men and women are leaving their loved ones to risk their lives for us. For that, we give them a sincere thank you.

Good lord! Is that dog smaller than a Coke can? Yep, she is. If you want to go ahead and 'awwww' yourself to death, it's cool ... we'll wait.

After watching this video, it's safe to say we will be genuinely interested in what Disney does with the next installment of 'Star Wars' *if* all the creatures are pugs in costumes. It works for Bantha, why not other creatures?

We're huge fans of campaigning season, because America always comes together to create political memes, poke fun at candidates and make boring debates a little more interesting. It's country bonding at its finest! We're a little bummed though, because that season has finally come to an end.

Our pets are good at tons of things, like getting stuck in jars and sneaking into pictures for awesome photobombs. They possess talents a bunch of other animals would envy. But did you know our four-legged friends are really, really good at playing dead?

When former Marine Shaun Duling met Bolt, a stray Labrador-shepherd mix, the little fella was skittish and hungry. Duling was doing contract work in Afghanistan with a German military unit, and while the Germans had adopted Bolt's sister as their mascot, the less-outgoing Bolt was mostly ignored.

Preparation is key when it comes to weathering a storm like Hurricane Sandy. We need extra food, extra candles and an adorable distraction to get us through it all-- our doggie pals.

We've said this before, and we'll say it again-- puppies and kids are a match made in adorable heaven, especially when they're playing together. How do they pull it off? We have no idea, nor are we questioning.

You may have heard about Obie the Obese Dachshund, a dog that weighs 77 pounds and is literally twice the weight of a healthy dog. The good news is that Obie is currently on a diet and engaged in hydrotherapy (he's too fat to walk, literally.) The bad news is that he's currently the center of a bitter custody battle.
