The wait is almost over! Tomorrow (05-04-12) 'The Avengers' will finally be in theaters! If like myself you're entirely too damn excited and couldn't possibly wait any longer to see the new film, you're in luck. Carmike Cinemas will have a special midnight showing tonight!

There are only two new movies in wide release this weekend, but they both feature marquis names.

‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ is a real movie.  And this is not, despite its ridiculous premise, something made on the cheap that will go direct-to-DVD. This is a big summer movie from Fox, produced by Tim Burton, directed by that guy who directed ‘Wanted’ and starring some familiar faces.  Based on the first trailer, it could either be awesome or completely stupid – so which is it?

Screen Gems ‘The Vow’ proved women do go to the movies, as the chick flick romance earned $41.7 million in its box office debut, making it the most popular movie in cineplexes this weekend. Three new movies — and one that’s not so new, but has been revamped in 3D — will be vying for your entertainment dollars in theaters this weekend.

Aliens are creeping back into theaters this week with the release of J.J. Abrams' hotly anticipated 'Super 8,' about a group of kids who captures a mysterious train crash on their video cameras in 1979. Will this be summer's next big hit?
