Throughout the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief at New York City's Madison Square Garden, a monumental bulk of talent occupied the grand stage. Since Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994 and Nirvana‘s inevitable breakup, Dave Grohl has stayed in the limelight and has flourished as the leader and frontman of Foo Fighters.

Krist Novoselic, meanwhile, has put music on the back burner for the better part of the last 17 years. But Novoselic has picked a good time to strap on his bass again for the public: a Sept. 20 celebration and fundraiser in Seattle to mark the upcoming 2oth anniversary of Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album.
