Over this past weekend, CinemaBlend ran an interview with Marvel Studios decision-maker Kevin Feige. As per usual, the man was exceedingly tight-lipped about the future of his beloved superhero playthings, but even his obfuscating non-answers contained the tiny seedling of a revelation within them. While getting grilled about the fate of the Avengers franchise, its third entry of Infinity War slated for 2018, Feige let slip that there was a good reason that the already-scheduled fourth installment has no subtitle as of yet. Though the film was originally planned as the second half of Infinity War, the two projects were recently split into their own individual spheres, and Feige doesn’t want the fourth installment’s full title coming out because apparently it contains a spoiler.

In the final scene of Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord asked Zoe Saldana’s Gamora what they should do next. “Something good, something bad?” he wonders, before settling on “a bit of both.”

Reports of Luke Cage Season 2 entering production seemed unusually sudden, especially so soon after The Defenders wrapped. Now, the man himself promises that Luke Cage will return to Harlem in a few months’ time, potentially pointing toward a 2018 premiere as well.

Never lacking in ambition (at least when it comes to the expanding frontiers of branding and marketing), Marvel boldly announced back in 2015 that the third film in the Avengers series would be unlike those that came before it. At the time of the project’s initial reveal, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige clarified his plans to split Avengers: Infinity War into two parts that would be released independent of one another. This was cause for great excitement, as moviegoers love nothing more than to shell out for two separate tickets just for the privilege of waiting up to a year to see the conclusion of a self-contained story. Incredibly, however, Feige backpedaled on that can’t-fail proposition shortly thereafter, amending their plans to separate Avengers 3 1 and Avengers 3 2 into the simpler Avengers 3 and Avengers 4.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just two short weeks away, which means Marvel is dropping a ton of teasy new material to get you pumped for the James Gunn-directed sequel. If you haven’t stopped listening to a self-made playlist of the “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” tracklist, unveiled this morning, hit pause and check out these three brand new clips.

While the post-credits scene was once a surprise specially afforded to those superfans with the dedication to sit through the final frames of a film, it’s now become par for the course, a de facto advertisement for whatever a franchise might have up its sleeve next. Marvel Studios has turned this into standard operating procedure, to the point where viewers expect nothing less than another tasty morsel of footage, the cinematic equivalent of the delicious fries waiting for you at the bottom of your McDonald’s bag. How to continue taking audiences off-guard, then? Marvel could do no post-credit scene at all, that’d certainly throw people for a loop. Or... they could do five.

Ever since he signed on to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the biggest question James Gunn has faced — aside from the usual inquiries about Star-Lord’s dad and what’s up with the villain — is whether he’d return for Vol. 3. His answer, consistently: He just doesn’t know. That changed this afternoon, as Gunn himself made an official announcement on his Facebook page — no need to play coy about this one since you already read the headline.

It’s a rare condition in this day and age, to read any bad news when it comes to Luke Cage. We wouldn’t dare break that streak, either, as the minds behind that Avengers/Full House parody have now brought us a mashup of Luke Cage with Family Matters, and it’s eerily perfect.

We’re still not entirely clear on how The Punisher managed to start filming without any real casting announcements, or where Marvel’s gun-toting antihero might fit in The Defenders, but a bit of crossover is to be expected. Just as Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle emerged from Daredevil, the spinoff series returns the favor in a new set photo appearance.

When you think of films that feature a huge body count, the titles that come to mind are likely horror flicks, historical dramas about war and mass tragedy, or something directed by Zack Snyder. A fun and family-friendly Marvel superhero outing is probably the last thing you’d think to put on a list of the deadliest movies of all time — much less at the top of it, but that’s exactly where Guardian

The fact that Stan Lee is guaranteed to appear in nearly every single Marvel movie is one of those small little charms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I hope never goes away. Sure, some people probably view it as an annoying break in the fourth wall, but it also reminds audiences that we are watching a superhero comic book movie. These movies don’t need to choose between being cartoonish and deadly serious; they can be both, often at the same time, and Stan Lee always helps drive that point home.
