The results are in from yesterday's election for Lawton Mayor and the open Ward 2 city council seat. Stan Booker has won re-election and will be serving a second term as Mayor. The Ward 2 city council seat remains in play.

Over the past year or so there's been a lot of complaints and at times complements for our current Mayor and City Council members. The City of Lawton just posted a video that answers a lot of the questions you may have about becoming an elected official and the steps you'll need to take to get there.

Lawton city Mayor Stan Booker and Ward Four City Councilman and Mayor Pro-tem Jay Burk could be facing a recall. A local group called the Freedom Defense Alliance is organizing and collecting signatures on a petition to begin the recall process for both the mayor and the councilman.
