What are the most popular everyday carry (EDC) guns in the Sooner State? Notice that says popular, not best. Although many of the guns listed in the top 10 are considered the best in their individual classes. All are exceptional choices for personal and home defense.

There's a new Senate bill (SB-1366) that would change and/or amend Oklahoma's firearm laws as it relates to the state's self-defense act and open carry. The new bill was written and introduced by Senator Lonnie Paxton (R-Tuttle, OK.) and seeks to make changes to the language of the self-defense act and the practice of concealed or open carry of firearms in the state.

I'm sure by now you've seen all the memes on social media and false statements that wearing a face mask and carrying a concealed firearm is illegal. This is completely untrue, it's a myth. A lot of people are concerned about their Second Amendment rights and self-defense options they can lawfully perform during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's not a new policy for Whataburger, but it has put them back in the spotlight.

The new Texas legislature will be looking into several new gun laws in the new year, including one that ends the ban on the open carry of handguns.

This video is going around Facebook and is getting a lot of attention.  A police officer stops a pedestrian that is openly carrying a pistol.  The officer asks the man for his identification and the citizen refuses and asks what he is being detained for.

Earlier this afternoon Governor Mary Fallin signed into law the 'Open Carry' bill (S.B. 1733) which allows Oklahoma citizens with a valid concealed carry permit the option of carrying their firearm openly or concealed. The new law will go into effect on November 1st 2012

Last week the Oklahoma Senate passed a bill (S.B. 1733) that would allow Oklahomans  with a valid concealed weapons permit the option of carrying their firearms either concealed or openly, holstered in public. Governor Mary Fallin (R) is expected to sign the new bill into law by this Thursday (05-17-12).
