“Nothing is over!”

We have a new mural in Lawton, Fort Sill. Maybe you've seen it on the side of Ares State Armory located at 2210 W. Gore Blvd. How appropriate that this new mural that adorns the South side of the building is none other than Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo. With Ares being a gun store it's a perfect match. It's a great mural and has already started getting attention. I swung by today during lunch today to take a quick picture and there was already people there taking selfies and other photos.

Sylvester Stallone has had two great franchise characters, Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, and was able to resurrect both over the last decade successfully. But though Balboa's gloves are hung up (even if Stallone recently paid homage to that character), it looks like we're going to get a 'Rambo 5' that promises to be one of the most thoughtful of the series' sequels.

Taken aback as we were to learn that a potential 'Rambo' TV series had begun the development phase, with Sylvester Stallone in negotiations to be involved creatively and potentially reprise the role, it now seems an understandable caveat has been put in place. Meet the antithesis of that, as Stallone's other aging icon 'Rambo' may soon come to TV in a new series with Stallone reprising the role! Oy, this day so far.
