X-Men: Days of Future Past

We knew that 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' was going to be a time travel story that would somehow merge the universes of the original 'X-Men' films and 'X-Men: First Class,' but the most recent casting news suggests something more epic than we could have possibly imagined. A cavalcade of past mutant superheroes have officially joined the cast, deepening an already absurdly great ensemble.

Last week, it was announced that Mathew Vaughn had abruptly left the the pre-production process on his 'X-Men: First Class' sequel 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.' Five days later, it's got a new director who's an old hand at these: Bryan Singer.

Well this is certainly an interesting bit of news. It seems director Matthew Vaughn will not be returning for 'X-Men: First Class 2.' So who will direct it, then? Original 'X-Men' director Bryan Singer, perhaps?
