As one stage of the music machine starts to wind down, the next stage is ready to ramp up for the Black Dahlia Murder. The band has just announced that they will co-headline the "Summer Slaughter" tour with Dying Fetus.

The band is currently in the process of wrapping up their eighth full-length studio album and has started looking ahead to the end of July to hit the road. The "Summer Slaughter" trek will also feature Oceano, Origin, Slaughter to Prevail, Rings of Saturn, Betraying the Martyrs and Lorna Shore.

As part of the run, The Black Dahlia Murder will be performing the Nocturnal album in its entirety, celebrating the disc's 10-year anniversary. The album featured such standout songs as "Everything Went Black" and "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse," while reaching No. 72 on the Billboard Album Chart. It was the band's first album to feature bassist Bart Williams and drummer Shannon Lucas and the last to include guitarist John Kempainen.

The tour kicks off July 27 at Reverb in Reading, Pa., heading south through the middle portion of the country, weaving out west and turning back toward the midwest before wrapping at Cleveland's Agora Theatre on Aug. 26. See all of the dates listed below.

As for the new studio album, it's expected to arrive this fall via Metal Blade Records. Guitars, bass and drums were tracked with former bassist Ryan Williams, while vocals were tracked with Joe Cincotta. Jacob Hansen is currently mixing and mastering the disc at Hansen Studios in Denmark. Stay tuned for more details on the Black Dahlia Murder's upcoming album as they become available.
