A couple days ago it was announced that Nickelodeon's 'The Legend of Korra' series would get a video game. At first glance it seems to be nothing to write home about, especially with publisher Activision on the bill. That is, until it was revealed who the developer was.

Platinum Games, who achieved fame with in the Beat'em up genre with 'Bayonetta' and 'Metal Gear Rising: Revengence', will take the charge in development.

The game will take place between the second and third season of the TV series and will have Korra face a new villain. This nemesis is a chi-blocker who strips Korra of her bending abilities - which Korra will have to regain as the players progress through the game.

Players will also have the ability to switch between the four different bending elements of earth, water, air and fire at will and can pull of amazing combos with each element.

Fans of the series and players can also pick what the cover art will look like through TV show's Facebook page.

'The Legend of Korra' video game is due to be released this fall for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One for digital download.
