From shelters to foster and adoption groups, there are many different options when you are looking to add a new four-legged member to your family. Every week Townsquare's Pet Patrol, brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital, highlights adoptable pets from across the Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas areas, hoping to find homes for shelter pets from throughout the region.

This week we are highlighting animals from 12 shelters, and hope to add more as momentum builds for this project. We will also be featuring information on upcoming events at our local shelters, as well as bringing you information on upcoming fund raising activities for these organization.

The Pet Patrol is brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital. We would also like to thank Just 4 K9s and Kitty 2, your home for grooming supplies, as well as all of your pets' needs, from food to beds to toys. Please remember to spay and neuter, and of course to adopt, not shop!

This is Danny, a 10 to 12 month old Weimaraner mix, a happy boy that is looking for plenty of room to play. Danny is loyal, loving and is eager to please, smart and learns quickly. The only things he asks is that his fur-ever home have no cats or goats, as he doesn't get along well with either.

Danny's adoption fee is sponsored by U.S. Law Shield and he is eager to find a family he can share and grow with. For more information about Danny, or to arrange a meet and greet with this energetic boy, please call the Stephens County Humane Society at 580-252-7387!

    Rainbow Bridge Can Wait - 580 919-0439

Hi!  My name is Padme'. I am a 17 month old bulldog mix. I love people of all sizes as well as other dogs. I enjoy group play and I love my toys. I don't chew and I am house and kennel trained. My people are my favorite thing in the world and I am ok with sharing them with a gentle reminder. I am still working on basic commands and leash work. I am unsure of new places but if given time to adjust I do fine.

I come fully vetted with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. The rescue will pay to activate my chip and up to a year of monitoring it. I also come with 30 days of free veterinary insurance if my new family activates it.

If you are interested in meeting me contact Rainbow Bridge Can Wait at 580-654-2513 or on their Facebook page. Thank you!

This little girl is around 6 months old. She was found hanging out at the Sonic so I guess she like hamburgers. She's smaller than knee high so I'm thinking she will be medium sized when grown.

If anyone can offer her a loving home or knows where she came from, please call  the Carnegie Animal Shelter at 580-682-9073.

We are not quite sure, but we think Kiefer is a poodle mix. He could possibly have some Dachshund in his blend. He appears to be about a year old. He is one very happy little guy. He is a little shy at first, but is starting to come around. So far he appears to be house trained. He has been in a foster home with other dogs. He loves to play with them and with toys. He is just a sweet dog that has the potential of being a nice family pet. All he needs is a chance.

Kiefer was recently neutered. He is current on all his vaccinations. He tested negative for Heartworms and 3 tick borne diseases. Kiefer appears to be non-shedding, but he will need occasional grooming. For more information about adopting this handsome guy, e-mail swoan@swbell.net
