Textbooks are a pain and do a number on your wallet when you're in college. Sometimes we try anything to get by without having to shell out over a grand on books. One university president in Missouri has offered a chance for his students to not have to worry about the price of books, but you'll have to beat him in Madden for it.

Dr. Scott Dalrymple, president of Columbia University plans to hold a Madden tournament to celebrate his inauguration as president. The students will enter a tournament to see who will take on their university president.

Then the tournament winner will play for the grand prize; their college textbooks paid for an entire academic year courtesy of the university president. It's unknown what kind of prize there will be if the challenger loses, but as a college kid looking for extra cash to cut on school expenses, who wouldn't take that challenge.

Also it's another way of telling your parents that video games are not a complete waste of time.
