Victoria’s Secret ‘A Day in the Life’ 2012 Commercial – What’s the Song?
It’s no secret that most of us would want to hang out with Victoria’s Secret models. In the new commercial promoting the clothing store’s Supermodel Essentials Wear, we come the closest we’ll ever get, while music from April Smith and the Great Picture Show plays in the background.
The popular lingerie chain is pushing their new line of everyday clothing. Viewers get to see what models Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Chanel Iman do on a daily basis while wearing hoodies, tees and other clothing pieces from the Supermodel Essentials Wear line. The girls shop around the city, ride their bikes, take their puppies out for a walk (literally) and other strenuous tasks. Watch the full clip below.
The song featured in the ad is called ‘Movies Love a Screen’ by April Smith and the Great Picture Show. The Brooklyn, N.Y. outfit are an interesting mix of indie pop, folk rock and swing. They have cited influences from the likes of the Beatles and Queen. The band released their debut album, ‘Songs for a Sinking Ship,’ in 2010 after raising enough money through crowd funding website Kickstarter. April Smith and the Great Picture Show are no strangers to television, as various tracks from their album have appeared in TV programs and other commercials. Check out more info on their official website.
