Though the film may have blinked when 'Star Wars: Episode 7' took its release date, Duncan Jones' 'Warcraft' has at least one leg up over the new 'Star Wars' film: It actually has a cast. Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, , Toby Kebbel, and Rob Kazinsky have all signed on for the film.

This news comes from Legendary's Twitter feed and it seems likely that either Ben Foster or Travis Fimmel is stepping into the role that Colin Farrell was previously eyed to play. It also suggests that everyone involved knows that the property is the selling point, not the performers. Paula Patton and Fimmel, who stars on the History Channel's show 'Vikings,' were both previously mentioned to appear in the film. Here are their tweets:

As for the newcomers, Foster -- who will appear in this month's '
Lone Survivor' -- is currently playing Lance Armstrong in an upcoming bio-pic, while Dominic Cooper will be familiar to comic-book movie fans for his role as Howard Stark in '
Captain America.' Toby Kebbel has been a go-to supporting actor in Hollywood of late, appearing in things like 'Wrath of the Titans' and the recent film '
The Counselor,' and he'll be in the upcoming '
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' while Rob Kazinsky is most notable for his recent turn as one of the Australian Jaeger pilots in '
Pacific Rim.' 'Warcraft' is currently dated for March 11, 2016.
