Our favorite Icelandic band Sigur Rós had a pretty busy day yesterday, which they capped with an appearance on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' where they performed a new song, 'Kveikur.'

Yesterday afternoon the group announced the release date of their new album, also called 'Kveikur,' which will be out on June 18. They also premiered the video for the record's first single, 'Brennisteinn.'

If that isn't enough Sigur Rós news for you, the trio has a North American arena tour scheduled to start in Washington, D.C. tomorrow, almost three months before their seventh album comes out. Last night's performance on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' which you can watch below, was their first television appearance in almost a decade.

'Kveikur' is a pretty quick turnaround for the group, coming just a year after 2012's 'Valtari.' Sigur Rós' fifth album, 'Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust,' was released in 2008. 'Kveikur' will include nine songs and is the band's first album since their keyboardist left. They made up for the loss on 'Fallon' last night by employing string and horn players.
