A week ago, 21-year-old Lafayette, LA resident Mickey Shunick vanished without a trace. Helped by local radio station Hot 107.9, Mickey’s family, friends and police have been desperately searching for her — and they need your help.

The petite blonde left a friend’s house in Lafayette at around 2 a.m. on Saturday night, May 19, for a short bike ride home, but never made it. Since then, her entire community has rallied to find her, gaining the attention of HLN’s Nancy Grace, ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ and other national news outlets like CNN and the Huffington Post along the way.

In addition, celebrities and athletes, including New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, comedian and ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge Howie Mandel, ESPN anchors and MTV reality stars are sending out tweets to their millions of followers to help spread the word.

Because Mickey could be literally anywhere, you may be able to help. She’s described as being five-foot-one, 115 pounds, with curly blonde hair and a nose ring. She has a small tattoo of a bicycle on her right outer ankle and was last seen wearing a multicolored striped shirt and light-wash skinny jeans. The bike she was riding when she vanished was a black Schwinn with a glittery gold seat and handlebars.

The website FindMickeyNow is keeping everyone informed of the latest developments, and supporters have set up various social media accounts to help with the search. A $25,000 reward is also offered for information leading to Mickey’s whereabouts.

If you have any information at all, please call the Lafayette Police Department at 337-291-8633.
