After Microsoft's announcement that Xbox One no longer requires the Kinect to function, the company still plans to bundle it with the next generation system without an option to buy the system without the camera.

During an interview with with CVG Microsoft's Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison stated that the Xbox One and the Kinect are one system and not seperate machines.

"Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem," Harrison said.

Microsoft stated last week that the Kinect would no longer be required for the system to function. This means that the the system will be released with the Kinect camera in November for $500 without an option to buy the next-gen Xbox with no camera.
