
Oklahoma Could See Up To Three Inches Of Snow
Two waves of snow are expected to impact Oklahoma this weekend and into next week, along with a bitter blast of artic air. Oklahoma will remain mild before the arctic blast moves in the evening of Friday, Jan. 17.
Before the snow and arctic air arrive, light rain is possible across southwest, central and eastern Oklahoma on Friday morning and into the early afternoon. No impacts are expected with this round of showers on Friday.
The arctic blast is expected to move into Oklahoma on Friday evening and will drop temperatures below 32 degrees by Saturday morning. Daytime highs are expected to fall near or below freezing for much of Oklahoma from Sunday through Tuesday.
Oklahoma will also see very cold wind chills near or below zero in the morning on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Snow is possible in Oklahoma from Saturday through Tuesday.
Chances for snow are increasing for areas of Oklahoma this weekend and into next week. Various areas of Oklahoma could see snow Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The amount of accumulating snow is still up in the air, but by Tuesday, areas of western Oklahoma could see up to three inches of snow, while areas of northwest and southwest Oklahoma could see up to two inches of snow. The rest of Oklahoma may see up to an inch of snow.
