Easter Sunday Will Be Wet In Oklahoma
Looks like a wet Easter is in store for Oklahoma this Sunday! Rain chances are expected to be high all day Easter Sunday across Oklahoma, and there's a chance for strong to severe storms as well.
One of the best things about Easter are egg hunts. Eggs are typically hidden in trees, bushes and thick areas of grass, then children run around the yard hunting for them! A perfect day for an Easter egg hunt would be a sunny day with cool temperatures, but it's looking like Oklahoma will have dreary Easter Sunday, so no perfect weather for egg hunts.
The National Weather Service in Norman is expecting Oklahoma to move into a stormy and wet pattern this week and into the weekend. Severe thunderstorms are expected Friday and rain will continue into the weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
Although Easter egg hunts may not be outside this year, the temperature would be perfect for egg hunts! Oklahoma will warm up into the 90s by Thursday before a cold front moves through Friday. Daytime highs on Sunday are expected to be in the 70s with overnight lows in 50s to 60s.
