Tis' the season of pop up bars in Oklahoma! Seriously, there are more than just a few opportunities to celebrate the holiday season all over the state. Some last the entire fall and winter season, some only last a few weeks. This quiet, elegant festive pop up bar is coming in just a few days.

Miracle at the Social Capital Coming This Weekend

On Sunday, Nov. 24, The Social Club in Oklahoma City is kicking off their holiday season with a fun and festive pop up bar called the The Miracle at Social Capital. They'll have professionally prepared cocktails inspired by holiday favorites with "kitcshy" Christmas decor, pictures with Santa and even hot cocoa for the kids.

The event fun doesn't stop there. They'll also be having movie nights and more throughout the holiday season. To keep up with everything, you'll want to follow their social media to get updates. The pop up bar only lasts until Dec. 29, so make sure you plan ahead to fit the time in.

What Is A Pop Up Bar?

The idea of a "temporary novel event" hasn't been a new one. According to provi.com, "Temporary establishments are said to have dated as far back as 1298 when seasonal markets were held." The idea of buying something quick because the experience won't last forever has been used for lots of things; the pop up bar experience didn't start becoming popular, though, until around 2010.

A pop up bar is a bar set up temporarily, usually including some sort of novelty immersive experience. For example, the Miracle at Social Capital only comes around during the holiday season and invites guests to enjoy nearly everything centered around Christmas.

The Social Capital in Oklahoma City is usually open throughout the year, serving over 110 craft beers, wines, cocktails and delicious food. They also host weekly karaoke nights, live music on the rooftop and even yoga with a view.
