“Killer” Side Hustle Being Offered in Lexington, Oklahoma
There's a special kind of farm in Lexington, Oklahoma looking for extra hands - well, technically, they need your whole body. If you're needing a fun and unique way to make money this fall, check out the chance to scare people at Oklahoma's own zombie farm.
Get Paid For Working On A Zombie Farm
Right now, the Lexington Zombie Farm is on the hunt for adults to fill some very important roles before the spooky season starts. Keep in mind that, if you'd like to take part, you'll need to be available for every weekend they're open between September 27th and October 31st this year, including Halloween.
Right now, they're looking for:
- Make up artists
- Scare actors
- Security
Although they're asking for adults, some older teens may able to apply, with parent's permission. It's probably best that those wanting to work as security be at least 18 years old.
If you're interested in doing work as a make up artist, there could be some qualifications you'll want to discuss with the owners before applying. Your best bet is calling the number listed on their page and advertisements.
Now for the most active job: scare acting. It says a lot about a job when people can't stop raving about their experience. Take, for example, Chris Thompson who worked as a scare actor for another scare park in the past. When he was tagged in Lexington's "hiring" post, he couldn't hold back.
"The absolute last thing I want or need is another job lol. But, some of the most fun I've ever had was scaring in the haunted house!"
-Chris Thompson
Even if you've never scared people (professionally) before, it's worth trying something new for a season to get a little more out of your comfort zone.

This scare park idea started in 2011, originally inspired by a parent's attempt at going all out for their kiddo's birthday. In 2012, they used the proceeds from the park to donate to a local fundraiser and since then, the owners and family of actors has been hooked.
The Zombie Farm takes you through a bone-chilling walk through winding trails and forested areas that bring every scary movie memory to mind. It's best to prepare for at least 20 minutes of a heart-pumping adrelaine rush.
