Over the weekend flash flooding affected six different Texas counties and rescue crews are still searching through the debris.

According to the National Weather Service, the predicted rain for July 3rd was around seven inches for this part of Texas. July 4th, just past 4AM, is when the Guadalupe River entered a flood stage. The river continued to rise over the next day causing flash flooding throughout the area. The county most affected was Kerr County who has sadly had 75 people deceased from the flooding. Below, you can see how bad different parts of Central Texas have been affected by this flood.

President Trump to Visit Texas Later This Week

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Trump will be visiting Texas later this week. When the President was asked by reporters he told them, 'probably Friday'. President Trump has already declared a disaster declaration for Central Texas. Which allows the federal government to aid Texas in recovery efforts.

Current Death Toll for Central Texas Floods

The most recent information from CNN breaks down by the following Texas counties.

  • Kerr County: 75 people have died, including 48 adults and 27 children, according to Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha. Some of the children were at Camp Mystic, a Christian all-girls camp near the Guadalupe River. Ten campers and one counselor are still missing, the sheriff said on Facebook.
  • Travis County: At least seven people are reported dead in Travis County, which sits several counties east of Kerr County and includes Austin, the state capital,. Ten others are missing, Nieto said.
  • Williamson County: Two people have died, Williamson County Sheriff Matthew Lindemann said. Officials recovered one of the victims yesterday, he said.
  • Burnet County: At least three people have been confirmed dead in Burnet County, according to the sheriff’s office. Three other people are still missing, according to a post on Facebook last night.
  • Kendall County: Officials have reported two deaths related to the flooding.
  • Tom Green County: At least one person has died in Tom Green County, authorities announced Sunday.
