Pretty soon Texas restaurants will begin appearing in the Michelin guide for the first time ever. Hopefully these restaurants can join some pretty elite company.

The Michelin Guide is FINALLY Coming to Texas

If you're anything like me, you learned the tire company Michelin is the same exact company that rates restaurants throughout the world. The goal of the Michelin guide was to get people out on the roads and explore new things (hopefully on Michelin tires). The guide has existed since the early 1900's, however American restaurants would not get any ratings until 2005. Texas will get its first ratings with restaurants in the major cities like Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Fort Worth. We will wait and see if any restaurants get the coveted three star ranking which means, "exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey." Here are the 2024 three star restaurants in America.

Alinea (Chicago, Illinois)

Smyth (Chicago, Illinois)

Single Thread (Healdsburg, California)

Le Bernardin (New York City, New York)

Per Se (New York City, New York)

Masa (New York City, New York)

Eleven Madison Park (New York City, New York)

Addison (San Diego, California)

Atelier Crenn (San Fransisco, California)

Benu (San Francisco, California)

Quince (San Francisco, California)

The Inn at Little Washington (Washington, Virginia)

The French Laundry (Yountville, California)

That is all the current three star ranking Michelin restaurants in America. Hopefully some Texas restaurants make their way onto the list in the coming years.

Can You Pronounce ALL These Texas Towns Correctly?

Texas is home to 970 cities, 228 towns, and 23 villages if you can believe it. Some of them are harder to pronounce than others and even some Texans that have lived here their whole lives may be doing some of these wrong. So let's make sure you don't look like an idiot on your next road trip through our great state.
