Mushroomhead are on their way back with their eighth studio album, 'The Righteous and the Butterfly.' The disc, due May 13, will be issued by Megaforce Records.

The current Mushroomhead collective includes the return of vocalist J. Mann, the debuts of new guitarist Church and bassist Dr. F, as well as Mushroomhead regulars Skinny, Robert Diablo, Stitch, Jeffrey Nothing, Waylon, and Schmotz. The band recently finished up recording sessions in Cleveland, teaming with co-producer Bill Korecky to put the album together.

Skinny says of the new disc, "With J Mann's return, this album is a fresh twist on a familiar vibe. It's also the first album with Church and Dr. F. They brought in fresh blood while keeping the integrity of the band's sound and vision intact. This is the 20th year of Mushroomhead and this album is getting us back to our roots."

As for the album title, 'The Righteous & The Butterfly' is a dedication to the band's original guitarist, J.J. Righteous and the band's former photographer and drummer Skinny Felton's wife, Vanessa Solowlow, who both passed away. Skinny says, "JJ was a key member of our band. He played on the first three records and Vanessa was our photographer and the mother of my children. They were both huge pieces of Mushroomhead and this record is dedicated to them."

The album includes 14 tracks, including a riff heavy rendition of Adele's 'Rumor Has It.' The full track listing can be seen below.
