The City of Lawton and LETA (Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority) have just announced that they've scheduled and will be hosting the Lawton's annual "Trash Off" on Saturday, May 8th (05-08-21) from 9:00am until 2:00pm in the McMahon Memorial Auditorium parking lot located at 801 N.W. Ferris Ave.

Well it looks like Lawton will be going to once a week trash pick-up after all. The city held their budget meeting yesterday (07-18-20) and approved the 2020/2021 budget. It includes several cost saving actions the city will adopt going forward including the once a week trash pick-up.

We could be going to once a week trash pick up in Lawton. It's being talked about and it's looking like it might actually happen. No vote by the City Council has been taken yet at least not officially that I'm aware of, but it's been included in the City's upcoming budget plans.

Garbage singer Shirley Manson hit up Twitter following her band's gig last night (Nov. 26) in Koln, Germany, to complain about the audience's "cold" reaction to the show -- and in the process started a Twitter war with some readers who began berating Manson for her complaints.

Many fans have missed Garbage and especially Shirley Manson, but the group has returned with the new album, ‘Not Your Kind of People.’ The singer admits that she doesn’t think anyone has quite replaced her during the band’s time away from the spotlight.

Remember that episode of ‘South Park’ where Stan and Kyle find a guy frozen in a cave?  Remember how he after he thaws out he’s dumbfounded by 2003, so the boys house him in a 1996 habitat to preserve his sanity? From the sounds of ‘Not Your Kind of People,’ Shirley Manson and her Garbage gang must have been frozen in that same Colorado cave, because ‘Not Your Kind of People’ is stuck in ’96. Read

After an extended hiatus, ’90s alterna-pop hitmakers Garbage are planning to return in 2012 with new music — a bunch of it, in fact. The band is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on what will be their fifth studio album, and first since 2005′s ‘Bleed Like Me.’ The 12-song collection, planned for a spring release, will reportedly include a bonus disc of 12 B-side tracks.  Read M
