OSDH Reports First Probable Case of Monkeypox in Oklahoma
The Oklahoma State Department of Health just released a statement that reported the first probable case of Monkeypox in the state of Oklahoma. The unidentified patient could have been exposed to the virus after traveling internationally to a country that has had confirmed cases. The patient is in isolation at this time as health experts perform contact tracing to notify any person who may have been in contact with them.

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 12 and up. So now younger kids are able to get vaccinated against the virus. Now that all the Federal approvals are met the OSDH (Oklahoma State Department of Health) has green lighted county health departments across the state to start offering the vaccine to anyone 12 years of age and older immediately.

The OSDH (Oklahoma State Department of Health) has launched their new COVID-19 vaccination portal. It will be used as a scheduling tool to help Oklahomans determine when they are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and help them schedule an appointment when it is their turn. This will be the fastest and easiest way to get in line and request a vaccination and stay up to date with the various phases.
