When we heard this weekend that Tim Miller had quit the Deadpool sequel due to the all-too-common “creative differences,” we knew something had gone very, very wrong. Miller had clashed with the film’s star Ryan Reynolds, who had been lobbying to get his version of the merc with a mouth into theaters since even before his ill-fated attempt at the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Over there, Apocalypse doesn’t debut until August, so the film’s promotional campaign continues in full force on that side of the Pacific. That includes this latest trailer, in which the star of Fox’s other (and far more financially successful) 2016 superhero movie shows up to promote his more famous colleagues.
