You'll never guess what Oklahoma picked as its favorite Halloween, again. I hate to say it, but it's pretty disgusting. I had hoped that in the year of our Lord 2022 we would redeem ourselves and choose more wisely.
More and more of Lawton's Halloween happenings are being scheduled and announced for 2022. With Halloween being on a Monday this year all the holiday events are being scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday which gives us 3 whole days to celebrate All Hallow's Eve.
Get ready for some nostalgia this Halloween thanks to McDonald's. They're bringing back the 'Halloween Bucket' Happy Meal in 2022 for a limited time and only while supplies last to participating restaurants.
I'm glad they decided to update the hours and give the kids some more time. So get your costumes and bags ready! Plus, who wants to be out trick or treating when it's not even dark out yet?
We're starting to finally see more and more of Lawton's Halloween happenings return for 2021. After all the cancellations last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic we're making up for lost time and most, if not all of our favorite annual events are coming back...
This year has flown by, at least for me any way. It's hard to believe, but Fall will be here before you know it, which means Halloween is on the way! The City of Lawton just announced the "Trick or Treating" hours for 2021. Halloween falls on a Sunday this year so the City of Lawton will be observing All Hallow's Eve the day before on Saturday, October 30th (10-30-21) from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
The great candy debate has started up once again. We go through this each and every year as we get closer to Halloween and Trick or Treating. The question that's on everyone's mind "What's the best and worst Halloween candy?" Opinions vary of course because we're talking about personal taste and likes vs cold hard facts. Everyone's got a favorite and everyone's got a dislike.
This year the kids will get twice the candy for Halloween! Get ready for the 1st Annual Park-O-Treat brought to you by Ellipsis. The event will take place at Elmer Thomas Park on Halloween night Saturday, October 31st 2020 (10-31-20) from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Park-O-Treat at Elmer Thomas Park is FREE family event.
Now for the news most, if not all of us were wanting to hear. The City of Lawton has approved trick-or-treating this Halloween so the kids WILL BE out collecting up candy and celebrating Halloween properly. This is some really good news. With everything that's been going on with COZID-19 we were all worried about Halloween this year. Think of the kids, it's been a rough year for them and I'm glad they'll be able to costume up and enjoy trick-or-treating. It's even better that this year Halloween is on a Saturday!
