This year the kids will get twice the candy for Halloween! Get ready for the 1st Annual Park-O-Treat brought to you by Ellipsis. The event will take place at Elmer Thomas Park on Halloween night Saturday, October 31st 2020 (10-31-20) from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Park-O-Treat at Elmer Thomas Park is FREE family event.

Now for the news most, if not all of us were wanting to hear. The City of Lawton has approved trick-or-treating this Halloween so the kids WILL BE out collecting up candy and celebrating Halloween properly. This is some really good news. With everything that's been going on with COZID-19 we were all worried about Halloween this year. Think of the kids, it's been a rough year for them and I'm glad they'll be able to costume up and enjoy trick-or-treating. It's even better that this year Halloween is on a Saturday!

This year, with Halloween on a Saturday, there will be lots of treats to be given and a few tricks to remember when knocking on a new door.  The 'official' Trick or Treat times in Lawton are from 6p-8p.  That's when the most candy will be available and the most people will be watching for your little ghost or ghoul.

You don't need to sway trick-or-treaters to go out in search of candy. But, you may need to sway them to your home for the best candy.

Bill Michaels, a radio personality in Davenport, Iowa, decided to conduct a little Halloween experiment. Instead of answering his front door for each and every trick-or-treater, he set an 'honor bowl' full of candy on his front porch with a sign that read: "Take One, Please.”

Halloween may be the scariest time of the year for kids, but it's nothing compared to the real world terror that is being a grown-up.

This old timer has some great advice on how to 'Trick Or Treat' as an adult. Some might laugh, but free candy tastes better and what's the harm in enjoying Halloween to it's fullest? No matter what your age, your never too old to go 'Trick Or Treating' for some free candy!

Being named the best city for trick-or-treating isn't so much like taking candy from a baby as it is taking candy from someone who opens their front door when you ring it.
