If you haven't already heard the news yet the Lawton City Council voted to increase your utility bill by 15% yesterday (06-14-22) afternoon. Here we are once again paying more and getting less, a lot less.

From what it's sounding like we can expect an increase in our City of Lawton utility bill sometime soon. The BIG QUESTION everyone wants to be answered is when, and how much more will we be paying?

The City of Lawton is updating its online utility payment and services website. The new and improved portal will launch on Monday, March 21st (03-21-22). The updated system will be far superior to the current one and will be a one-stop shop for not only paying your utility bill but all kinds of other services as well.

The Lawton City Council met earlier this week on Tuesday (05-26-20) and discussed the return of water disconnects for nonpayment. If you're currently behind on your water bill you'll need to make arrangements to avoid having your service shut off.

We could be going to once a week trash pick up in Lawton. It's being talked about and it's looking like it might actually happen. No vote by the City Council has been taken yet at least not officially that I'm aware of, but it's been included in the City's upcoming budget plans.
