The Welcome to Rockville festival has become one of the must-attend events on any self-respecting rock fan's to-do list and this year was no different as a who's who of the hard rock and metal scenes turned up in Jacksonville, Fla. to rock those in attendance.

'Loudwire Nights' host Full Metal Jackie was on hand and she spoke with several of the participating bands about what makes an event like Welcome To Rockville special. Chevelle drummer Sam Loeffler kept it simple, stating, "Anytime you get to play with Rob Zombie, it's a good time."

But Kyng's Pepe Clarke Magana had a more all-encompassing perspective, citing the variety of rock acts playing. He explained, "I love the fact that there's so many different genres being represented. I don't think it's as fun to go to a festival where everybody sounds exactly the same, so this is really cool. There's some rock, there's some metal and goth stuff, there's a little bit of everything."

Check out Full Metal Jackie's recap of the Welcome to Rockville festival, featuring appearances by members of Hellyeah, Theory of a Deadman, Nothing More, Gemini Syndrome, Black Stone Cherry and more in the video above.

And the rock doesn't stop just because Welcome to Rockville is over for 2014. The people who brought you Welcome to Rockville are also behind the 2014 Aftershock Festival, which takes place Sept. 13-14 in Sacramento, and the inaugural Louder Than Life Festival happening Oct. 4-5 in Louisville.
