Turns out the trio got paid a measly $100 to play Cleveland dive the Euclid Tavern back in 1992, two years before they exploded with ‘Dookie.’
The Cult were involved in a bus crash in Europe this week while traveling in the early morning hours from Split, Croatia, to Ljubijana, Slovenia. Thankfully, there were no fatalities or very serious injuries, but frontman Ian Astbury was pretty banged up in the accident. Judging from the vocalist’s description of the events, things could have been a lot worse, as the bus nearly went over an 80-foot drop.
The Shockwave tour, which was set to kick off on Friday, July 6, featuring Voivod, Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Havok, Last Chance to Reason and the Browning, has been canceled just two days before the launch.
The Killers have been revealing bits of information about their forthcoming album ‘Battle Born’ in piecemeal fashion. The Las Vegas-based band continued that pace by unveiling the cover image for ‘Runaways,’ the first single from the album.
