Last week, Nine Inch Nails bassist Eric Avery quit the band, but the group has now secured another member. Frontman Trent Reznor has announced that NIN's former guitarist, Robin Finck, plans to rejoin the band on their upcoming tour.
Beastie Boys have signed a deal to release a memoir, the New York Times reports. The still-untitled book celebrates the band’s history and aesthetic, as documented by surviving members Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Mike “Mike D” Diamond.
Back in February, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival organizers announced this year’s initial lineup via a special hour-long webcast. Frontman Bernard Sumner sang his heart out on the outdoor stage, decked out in a black New Order t-shirt. There’s nothing wrong with a little shameless self-promotion, right?

The world-famous Ultra Music Festival draws electronic music fans from all over, and this year’s edition – which took place in downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park from March 15-17 and March 22-24 – was its biggest yet, with more than 330,000 people in attendance over the course of two weekends. Next year, however, the festival will return in the form of a single three-day weekend, organizers have announced.
The move comes months after Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff introduced a resolution to revert the world-famous outdoor festival back to just one weekend.
Although Daft Punk weren't among the numerous acts confirmed to perform at Coachella 2013 when the lineup was announced back in January, their record label has dropped hints that they'll be the surprise headliner at this year’s fest. Execs at Universal Music Group, EMI and Sony Entertainment – the umbrella company for Daft Punk’s label, Columbia Records – made a post on the band’s official VEVO page suggesting their appearance.
