Staind released their latest album, a self-titled masterpiece, back in September of this year. The making of the album was an arduous and well documented process, but now that it’s out the band can sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
‘That Metal Show’’s Eddie Trunk and Jim Florentine recently interviewed Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses for an upcoming episode of the show, set to air on VH1 Classic on Nov. 11. On Trunk’s radio show last night (Nov. 4), he talked about the epic interview and teased a few clips for listeners.
Sad news to report: GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot (aka Flattus Maximus) was found dead this morning by his bandmates as the group prepared to cross the Canadian border on their current tour. MetalSucks.net shared the following statement from GWAR frontman Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus):
Soundgarden fans, rejoice! Chris Cornell recently told Billboard.com that the new Soundgarden album is “mostly done.” He went on to say that, “We just need to finish a couple of songs and mix it, so that will be happening probably over the holidays.”
Back in September we brought you news about the 2012 Gigantour featuring Megadeth teaming up with Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil, and now the dates for the epic tour have been announced. The bands, all hand-picked by Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, offer up an eclectic mix of speed metal meets thrash meets rockabilly meets goth rock. Ouch! Last night (Oct. 26) at a show in Luxembourg, Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack suffered an injury resulting in a broken nose. Details are sketchy, but Biersack took to Twitter to offer up photographic evidence.
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx found himself screaming for his own ‘Dr. Feelgood’ after hurting himself onstage during their summer tour. With lingering joint problems from the injury he underwent knee surgery on Wednesday (Oct. 19).
