Congrats are in order for Five Finger Death Punch drummer Jeremy Spencer, who just cracked the Top 10 on the New York Times' Celebrities Best Seller List with his new book, 'Death Punch'd: Surviving Five Finger Death Punch's Metal Mayhem.' The drummer recently dropped by the Loudwire studios to discuss his book and you can see what all he had to say in the video above.

The book follows Spencer's tales of his wild highs and terrifying lows while fulfilling the rock 'n' roll lifestyle of excess and addiction and then coming out the other side. "I started writing it the day I got out of rehab. I basically needed a place to put my energy," says Spencer in the video above.

The drummer addresses what it was like to work with his father in putting the deeply personal details of his life into book form, as well as how his family and friends have responded to some of the more hedonistic and salacious tales. He also discusses the possibilities of other books from himself and his bandmates and gives an update on what you can expect from Five Finger Death Punch in 2015.

Spencer recently stated after hearing the great returns to his book on the New York Times Best Seller list, "I’ve received dozens of messages sharing how my story has inspired others to seek help or stay clean. Had it even been just one person who was affected positively, that would have been reason enough to write it. Believe me, the last thing I ever thought was that I would be a best-selling author. I’m humbled and truly grateful.”
