A few weeks ago we heard the news that NBC and Dick Wolf's slow-spreading 'Chicago Fire' had its eye on a potential spin-off, with recent buzz suggesting the show would likely go to series within the near future. Now, the proposed spinoff has begun adding to its cast, recruiting former 'LOST' star Tania Raymonde and Scott Eastwood (yep, that Eastwood) for the as-yet-untitled series, but will it prove as hot as its predecessor?

NBC's 'Chicago Fire' may not have caught on initially, though its spreading popularity over the course of the first season may soon start a Chicago-based spin-off, a la 'Law & Order's multiple iterations. The characters for the proposed spin-off -- likely focusing on the Chicago police force -- will first appear in the May 15 'Chicago Fire' finale, before picking up in the new series this fall.

It remains unclear if any of the current 'Chicago Fire' characters would move over to the new series, but TVLine has revealed two new roles for the spin-off to be played by 'LOST' star Tania Raymonde and Scott Eastwood, son of Clint. Raymonde will play a police officer named Nicole, while Eastwood would portray Officer Jim Barnes.

‘Chicago Fire’ creators and executive producers Derek Haas and Michael Brandt will develop the new series with executive producer Matt Olmstead and Dick Wolf, whose company Wolf Films produces ‘Chicago Fire’ with Universal TV.

What say you? Would you watch a 'Chicago Fire' spin-off now that the cast is coming together?
