UPDATE: This post originally was published in 2015, but has regained popularity after Governor Palin vetoed a bill that would criminalize abortion procedures in the state.

A petition on change.org (originally written in 2015) calls for the Oklahoma State Senate to hold a session to impeach Governor Fallin for what the petition sites as "wasting tax payer money on personal endeavors."

The petition alleges that Governor Fallin "wastes tax payer money on personal endeavors such as an appeal for the 10 commandments statue not to be removed." "She is not the will of the people, she is the will of Mary Fallin," according to the 2015 petition.

The petition had more than 3,800 signatures in 2015, but has regained popularity after Governor Fallin vetoed a bill that would criminalize abortion procedures in the state in May 2016. The petition now has more than 20,000 signatures.

The governor defended her decision in a statement by saying "The bill is so ambiguous and so vague that doctors cannot be certain what medical circumstances would be considered 'necessary to preserve the life of the mother.'"

Fallin is widely considered a possible running mate for Donald Trump, but it is not clear if this veto will affect her chances of being Trump's vice presidential nominee.

You can find the petition at this link if you wish to have your voice heard to the Oklahoma State Senate.
