It happens to the best of them, but in the case of Eddie Vedder, it's a first. The Pearl Jam frontman lost his voice and has been ordered to complete vocal rest for the next few days in order to hopefully complete the band's current tour leg. As a result, the band's performance at London's O2 Arena has been called off, though the band is currently working on the possibility of rescheduling the show for mid-July.

In a social media statement, the band reveals, "It's the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have traveled and made plans. Sending their biggest apologies out to everyone and huge gratitude for all for the continued support."

As stated in the Twitter posting below, tickets for the rescheduled date will be valid and transferable. More information on the new date will be revealed in the coming days. Those looking for refunds may do so at the point of purchase.

Pearl Jam are currently in the midst of a European run and should all go according to plan, they expect to be back onstage this Friday (June 22) in Milan, Italy. The current tour leg runs through a July 14 show in Lisbon, Portugal. After that, they'll return stateside in August and September for their run of baseball stadiums.
