Curling. Celebrated the world over, except in most of the United States. Usually considered a 'boring' sport across most of the country, it might be the most entertaining event in the Winter Olympic games. What other sport showcases a four man team working in harmony while hurling a forty pound piece of granite across a huge slab of ice, all the while intensely shouting instructions?

It's awesome that the USA finally snatched a gold medal in this event, and even cooler that the TV coverage finally committed to showcasing this sport in prime time. It's even more intense in person, so if you're ever in Bemidji, Minnesota, stop by the Curling Center. They play this sport year round.
