The music community is definitely happy to have Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe back in the U.S. after his recent jailing in the Czech Republic. The homecoming welcomes have been flowing in ever since, and Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor is one of the happiest rockers to see the singer back at home.

Taylor told Rolling Stone, “Randy’s been a good friend of mine for a really long time, and it was killing me, being a friend and being in this position in the industry and whatnot, there wasn’t a lot we could for him. We were kind of running all over hell and back trying to figure out if there was anything we could do for him, not just because of the Knotfest show, but because he was our bro.”

With Blythe back home, Lamb of God, who recently had to bow out of their late summer tour, immediately revealed that they would be taking part in Slipknot’s Knotfest, as had been planned before all of the trouble of the last month occurred.

Taylor says that had Lamb of God backed out, he’d understand, but he’s thrilled to have them on board. “Even if he landed and he said that he didn’t want to do the shows, I would still be so happy that he’s home,” Taylor says. “He’s out of that prison, he’s back with his family and I’ll get to see him, hopefully soon. The fact that Lamb of God is going to play Knotfest is icing on the cake for me.”

Corey says he’s giving Blythe some time before reaching out as he realizes that family comes first, but does plan on sending him a text followed by a phone call to check up on him.

Taylor says that Blythe’s jailing made him feel powerless, but he was really proud of how the metal community in particular rallied around Blythe. He adds, “I’m really proud of the metal fans for giving their support and doing everything they can to get the word out and get as much focus on that situation as possible. I’m really proud of them for that and sticking with it, and it’s paid off – he’s coming home.”
