Da Vinci's Demons

In recent years we've seen Starz struggle a bit beyond its usual two-season order, canceling 'Magic City' after its initial run while the likes of 'Black Sails' had difficulty breaking out with an audience. That said, 'Da Vinci's Demons' remains strong enough that Starz officially elected to press on with its season 3 in 2015, albeit with a reduced role for series creator David S. Goyer.

For as much as we still miss the days of 'Spartacus,' the many goodies to emerge from the ongoing New York Comic-Con have seen Starz giving rise to two new trailers; not only do we have our best look yet at Michael Bay pirate drama 'Black Sails,' but also a new full-length trailer for 'Da Vinci's Demons' season 2!

We knew Leonardo Da Vinci to be brilliant, but talk about speedy! This past Friday saw Starz highest-rated debut to date with the David S. Goyer-penned 'Da Vinci's Demons,' and the edgy cable network has wasted no time in locking down the re-invented inventor for another season. 'Da Vinci's Demons' season 2 will officially bow in 2014, but will anything prove different from the first time around?

After the jaw-dropping (severing?) climax of last week's 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' episode "Separate Paths," we were startlingly reminded that the genre epic will soon come to an end. We won't have to wait long for the pay-cable network's next period fix however, as the David Goyer-helmed historical thriller 'Da Vinci's Demons' will follow in its wake on April 12!
