Fans counting down the seconds until the April 2 release of the Flaming Lips' 13th studio album, 'The Terror,' will have to reset their stopwatches -- the band has pushed back the disc's release two weeks, to April 16. But that doesn't mean we'll have to wait nearly a month to hear the songs on 'The Terror,' because frontman Wayne Coyne and co. premiered the album in its entirety over the weekend SXSW -- and lucky for us, one dedicated fan managed to capture audio of the whole set and has post it online for our listening pleasure.

After teasing fans with the possibility of a surprise appearance from Justin Timberlake, a man with a green cloth mask wrapped around his head strolled onstage to perform 'Do You Realize??.' But the mystery guest turned out to be not JT, but My Morning Jacket's Jim James.

Both bands are already touring separately, and their paths will converge on April 28 and remain as such through May 3. It's not enough to label it an actual "tour," but that's semantics. All that matters is that they will grace the same stages.

If you've seen the Flaming Lips live, you know all about the crazy multimedia show they put on. The spectacle includes a wild light show, bubbles, balloons, buckets of confetti and singer Wayne Coyne's giant laser-shooting hands. Unfortunately, the Lips report that those specialized hands went missing after the band's appearance at the Southbound Festival in Busselton, Western Australia, last weekend.

We always knew that Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne was eccentric, but he's also a pretty bad packer. That, or he has an inconsiderate sense of humor when it comes to traveling. In news that has remained somewhat under the radar, until now, the singer showed up at the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City last week with a grenade (or a replica of a grenade) on his person or in his luggage. It caused the airport to shut down and a horde of travelers to miss their flights. Needless to say, people were pissed!

It was revealed that frontman Wayne Coyne requested and received blood samples from some of the contributors to sandwich into limited-edition vinyls for ”interested rich Flaming Lips people.”

The Twin Cities is soon to become a major stop on the ever-growing festival circuit, as the inaugural River’s Edge Music Festival will take place on June 23 and 24 on Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn. The Dave Matthews Band and Tool, playing their only U.S. date of 2012, will headline the event.
