Gwen Stefani Joins Rolling Stones at L.A. Tour Opener, Sings ‘Wild Horses’ at Staples Center

Gwen Stefani embraced her inner hippie chick and got down with the Rolling Stones on Friday night (May 3) in Los Angeles, where the legendary rockers kicked off their 50 and Counting Tour. Sporting a thin headband, straight-outta-'68 hairdo and sparkly t-shirt emblazoned with the Stones' classic lips logo, the No Doubt singer dueted with Mick Jagger on 'Wild Horses,' surprising anyone in the house who doesn't follow her on Twitter.

No Doubt’s ‘Settle Down’ Gets Remixed by Major Lazer

Major Lazer is the dancehall-infused side project of Philadelphia-based producer and DJ Diplo, while No Doubt, of course, are the West Coast alt-rock band with a tendency to branch out into punk, ska, New Wave, reggae and, yes, even dancehall. Put the two together and what do you get? How about the Major Lazer remix of ‘Settle Down,’ the lead single off No Doubt’s first album in more than a decade.

No Doubt Nears Completion of New Album

Although No Doubt hasn’t released a studio album since 2001′s ‘Rock Steady,’ the group hasn’t exactly been resting on their laurels. Singer Gwen Stefani has gotten hitched, had children, and released two wildly successful solo albums. Now, however, the group is a mere two months away from finishing their sixth album. They recently previewed several songs for Rolling Stone and it seems their trademark Ska/reggae sound is intact, albeit with a few updates.
