Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich took part in a Reddit AMA today in which they fielded questions about the indie-rock gods as well as about their new group, Atoms for Peace.
Plans have been announced to set up a charity in honor of Scott Johnson, the 33-year-old drum technician killed in the tragic June stage collapse before an outdoor Radiohead concert in Toronto, Ontario. Johnson’s parents have set up the Scott Johnson Bursary Fund for Young Musicians to provide instruments for aspiring musicians in the town of Rotherham, England, where Johnson grew up.

This Matt Ornstein-directed ‘The Daily Mail’ video was shot when the Brit rockers hit the stage of Bonnaroo a few months back, and features some cool time-lapse video tricks as the camera starts way out on the edges of the annual festival. It slowly moves in, eventually zeroing in on singer Thom Yorke and the band from right in front of the stage. ‘The Daily Mail’ was featured alongside the single ‘Staircase’ on last year’s ‘King Of Limbs: Live From the Basement’ release.
All five members of Radiohead, the band’s crew and management joined hundred of other mourners at the Doncaster Minster church in Doncaster, England, for the funeral of drum tech Scott Johnson, who was killed when the stage collapsed prior to the band’s June 16 concert in Toronto. Members of Keane were also in attendance at the service, which featured an eulogy given by family friend Father David Dixon.
Canadian officials have begun sorting out the cause of the stage collapse that caused one fatality and injured several onlookers at a Radiohead concert over the weekend, with the band’s touring company one of several organizations under scrutiny.

Radiohead’s appearance on ‘The Colbert Report’ next Monday is such a big deal that for the first time ever the Comedy Central talk show will run an hour, instead of its traditional 30 minutes.
During the show, the band will play songs from its latest album ‘The King of Limbs,’ while also debuting a new track. In addition to Radiohead’s performance, there will be interviews, as well as regular ‘Colbert Report’ features.
