We know that 'Thor: The Dark World' has been filming, and is scheduled to hit theaters in a year (November 8, 2013 to be exact), but now Marvel has released their synopsis, which gives us a greater sense of what the film is, and how much (or little) 'The Avengers' plays into the sequel.

Perfectly timed to coincide with the DVD and Blu-ray release of 'The Avengers,' eFX Inc. has announced the first items in a large slew of cool, collectible prop replicas inspired by the Marvel Universe have now gone on sale. For one, the vintage Captain America posters as seen in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' can be yours to take home, but there's still so much more to come.

Though the film has already begun shooting, it seems that the casting of 'Thor: The Dark World' wasn't finished, and the film has added two new players: Richard Brake and Clive Russell.
