Curved TV's have been on the market for a little over a year now, and the overwhelming majority of experts point to them as gimmicks.

Yes, the picture quality of the 4k TV's on the rack at Sam's is beautiful, but the curve won't do anything for you in the current sizes they offer.

In full disclosure, gimmick or not, if I had $3000 laying around, I'd have one even though most cable and satellite providers cap HD at 720 (with the exception being the big 3 networks)

While I don't think I could get fully behind having those monitor frames in screen, this is a giant leap into the future. Who knows, maybe they'll figure out a way to put 4k into the television landscape one day. Until then, we'll settle for streaming.
