One of the best music programs on television, by far is the legendary Austin City Limits on PBS. A program that features performances from some of the biggest names in music, from every genre imaginable.

So, when I heard Robert Plant was going to be featured, I couldn't wait for it to hit the airwaves. I wanted to see how the now 68 year old former front man of Led Zepplin looked and sounded. To see if he could still bring a performance even resembling what he did during the days of Houses of the Holy and The Song Remains The Same. I remember having this same anticipation in 1994 after the No Quarter (Unledded) album was released, featuring Plant and Zep-mate Jimmy Page. But now it was 22 years later, and there was no way that the voice that led a generation could still be as vibrant, sharp and powerful.

But much like watching Page and Plant perform together Unledded on MTV back in 1994, my fears of a faded plant were soon squelched. From the first note it was apparent Plant was sounding as good as ever, as he jumped from Zepplin classic into new music and back, it was just like it was 1976 at the Los Angeles forum, the place I first saw Plant and his partners in Zep.

Check out a sample of Plant's performance, you can below, or you can watch the whole program at http://acltv.com/.
