Let's hope either Nathan Fillion or Jensen Ackles were called, because 'Uncharted' is going to start filming early next year.

Zap2it reports that Seth Gordon, director of 'Horrible Bosses' and 'The Goldbergs,' has recently said that the live action adaptation of Uncharted is gearing up to film early in 2015. While no cast members have been announced, Gordon mentions that once he is done filming 'The Goldbergs,' he will focus on directing 'Uncharted.'

"I'm doing several of these ['Marry Me' episodes] here this summer. 'Goldbergs' too," Gordon said, when asked about the TV series he directs. "I tried to do a chunk at the beginning, and I want to do a chunk here too. It just depends when our actual ['Uncharted'] start date is actually declared, and then I'll back out as many episodes as I can do. I'm doing one 'Goldbergs' and two of these presently, and I'm hoping to do more."

This Nathan Drake film should be starting underway soon, because its theatrical release would likely coincide with the 2015 release of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End for the sake of cross-promotion. After being asked about when he will be done with his television shows and shoot 'Uncharted,' Gordon said, "I think very early next year. That's the plan."

Zap2it mentions that Mark Wahlberg was previously attached to the project to portray the star character, Nathan Drake, of which Gordon said, "I want it to be a great actor. That's number one, and then if it's someone who has an actual jaw, that's even better. The game is so well done that you need it to live up to that. There's no way we'd do the inverse of that where it's somebody famous who can't [act]."

Again, we must reiterate our hope for Nathan Fillion or Jensen Ackles to star as Nathan Drake.
