Eisenhower grabbed the lead and the momentum early on, scoring on a 2 yard Kenneth Graham run, capping a sixty-five yard drive to take the early 7-0 lead. But Lawton (5-1, 3-0) took the lead back early in the second quarter as Zack Hanna scored on a 9 yard run, bowling over Graham at the goal line to find the end zone. The snap on the extra point was bad, but Jayden Garcia made an incredible catch to control the ball, then scrambled to his right and found Terrell Shaw in the back of the end zone for the two-point conversion, and an 8-7 lead.

After the ensuing kick off, the Eagles (0-7, 0-3) drove from their own 36 down to LHS' five. Two Kenneth Graham runs set up a third down at the one. Ike quarterback R.J. Fisher appeared to cross the goal line on a sneak, but LHS linebacker Levi Cain leaped the stack of players, dragging Fisher down inside the one. During the play, Fisher's helmet flew off, forcing him sit out the fourth down play, a Graham run for no-gain and the Wolverines took over on downs.

Fifteen plays later, LHS was in the end zone on a four-yard run by quarterback Zack Hanna capping a 99-yard, four-plus minute drive. Lawton took a 15-7 lead to the locker room at the half.

It was a completely different game in the second half. Curry led the way with 174 yards and carried the ball on 10 of LHS' first 15 plays of the second quarter, scoring three times.
