You'd think we wouldn't have to even say this, but, don't drink hand sanitizer! Once again there are people doing crazy things and causing serious damage to their bodies and in some cases even death.

And the debate rages...

Yesterday (09-28-20) the Oklahoma Supreme Court struck down a petition that could have legalized recreational marijuana. The petition if it collected enough signatures would have placed State Question 813 on the November 8th 2022 ballot. With a majority vote State Question 813 would have legalized recreational marijuana in the state for anyone 18 years of age or older. It would have also imposed a 25% tax on all sales.

This past weekend the family and I where looking for something to do so we decided to take a little trip to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. It's been awhile since we've been out there, plus the weather was perfect for a quick hike and picnic. Do your part and help the OBI (Oklahoma Blood Institute) beef up the blood supply. They'll be hosting a blood drive today (09-03-20) from 9:00am until 4:00pm and again tomorrow (09-04-20) from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Oklahoma Blood Institute in downtown Lawton, OK. located at 211 S.W. A Avenue.

Going on today (08-29-20) the OBI (Oklahoma Blood Institute) is hosting a blood drive at Legend Driven, located at 5002 N.W. Cache Road. The blood drive will take place from 10:00am until 3:00pm.

I can't believe it's taken us this long, but we finally have a much more sanitary way of blowing out Birthday candles without getting germs all over the cake. All it took was a nationwide, better yet worldwide pandemic for us to change old habits and learn new ways to do things.

This Saturday, August 29th 2020 (08-29-20) the OBI (Oklahoma Blood Institute) will be hosting a blood drive at Legend Driven, located at 5002 N.W. Cache Road. The blood drive will take place from 10:00am until 3:00pm.

The Chick-fil-A on Cache Road is back open today (08-19-20) after being temporally shutdown due to COVID-19 concerns. The entire restaurant has been completely strip cleaned inside and out and thoroughly sanitized after last week's exposure to the Coronavirus. They'll be open from 10:30am to 8:00pm and I'll be hitting the drive-thru for lunch today to get my chicken on. It's great to have them back up and running.

Yesterday the city council met to hear arguments both for and against the city's mandatory face mask ordinance. The mask ordinance went into effect back on July 17th (07-17-20) when the council passed the new mandate and it remains in effect currently. Those apposed asked the council back on July 28th (07-28-20) to repeal the measure and yesterday's meeting was an acknowledgement of that.
